From mid-June, streets fill with grilled sardines, basil pots, and music. The 12th–13th (Santo António) is Lisbon's night; Cascais joins in across the month.
The train from Cais do Sodré (Lisbon) takes ~40 minutes. Inside Cascais, walk or rent a bike — the BiCAS scheme is electric and cheap. Driving is for excursions only.
Light layers — evenings cool quickly by the ocean. A wind shell for Guincho. Reef-safe sunscreen. UV is high even when it's overcast.
Heads up. This is a work-in-progress guide. Picks are being verified locally through June 2026 — check the About page for the current status and how to contribute.
